About

Every project begins with listening

Seonaid Johnston
Interior Designer

For me, interior design is about so much more than how a space looks, it’s about how it feels. A well-designed room should quietly support your daily life, reflect your personality, and create a sense of ease, inspiration or energy, depending on its purpose. The emotional atmosphere matters just as much as the aesthetic details.

My approach is responsive to context. Every project begins with listening, to the needs of my clients, the architecture of the building, and to the wider influences of art, music and culture that bring depth. I don’t believe in forcing a style onto a space; instead, I work to uncover what already exists and guide it into something layered, personal and enduring.

I started my journey with an Art Foundation year at Wimbledon College of Art, before studying Politics & Philosophy at the University of Edinburgh, driven by a love of ideas, people and discussion. After working in business development, I returned to my creative roots and trained at the Inchbald School of Design, where I formalised my passion for interiors.
